Road Trip: Sigandoor & Sharavathi Backwater

Again, one more weekend, again one more new place exploration with family. After two attempts failure, due to some reasons, finally succeeded road journey to Sigandoor & Sharavathi Backwater on 4^th September 2016.

The same Maruti 800 took us without any distress, drizzling added more beauty to our journey.  Sigandoor was one of the pending in my to do list.  Due to rain, I could not able to take much photos.

The Sigandoor temple is situated on the bank of Sharavathi backwater.  Surrounding shops indicate that, it’s losing its natural glory. There are many development projects underway.  Paid darshana to Sri Choudeshwari Maate headed towards ferry ride in Sharavathi backwater.

We decided to have a small in ferry ride across backwater from Sigandoor to Holebagilu. The vehicles were in a long queue, luckily, ferry was loaded with passenger and vehicles. Somewhat got a place to stand and enjoy the ride.

Sumukh (my son) was scared initially, after a while enjoyed the journey.  Spent sometime in the ferry at Holebagilu and back in the same drive to Sigandoor. Before dark reached home safely.
