Unplanned travel will be always thrill, indeed it is true for us too. Back to back journey did not make my mind and body tiered, I was just back on 09.10.16 evening 500 KMs long drive journey from Muniyalu to Kolar. I and Sudhakar was thinking to somewhere on 10-11th October 2016. Previous night decided to go towards Sharavathi backwater. Ram one of friend also joined with us.

Previous night was hectic to
Sudhakar & Ram who were busy working whole night on client delivery of
website. The initial plan was to leave
early morning around 4 am; we started the journey at 6.30 am. Bike started giving the problem initial hike
up. Sudhakar gave the bike servicing in
the previous day, however it was not done up to the satisfaction. Could be the heavy rush on Festival season,
especially Ayudhapooja so that they did not concentrated much. One point of time we thought to drop the
drive seeing the bike condition. After a
while of tireless effort, bike got started but he was facing the handle issue. After confirmation of Sudhakar, continued our
journey.
Luckily one of best buddy
Vijayanand was in his native town Shivamogga.
Just we called him and expressed our arrival to him towards Sharavathi
valley. He was so happy about our
journey and he was happier to join with us.
Journey started from RR Nagar passing through Yeshvathapura reached Tumakuru at 8.30 am. Now the time to stop for breakfast. Finished yummy breakfast in small roadside hotel. After long break we continued our journey towards Shivamogga.
Very pain day again to Sudhakar & Ram, frequently getting call from client about the yesterday delivery. We stopped road side hotel and spent lot of time to resolve the issue. Vijay was calling us and getting updates about our arrivals.
Reached Vijay home around 2.30
Noon. The day was very auspicious of
Ayudha Pooja. Festival atmosphere
everywhere, always smiling guy Vijay welcomed us. Introduced to family members and finished the
yummy festival food.
Now the time to decide about
location, we had not enough time to venture around Sharavathi valley. Vijay finally decided to take us around
nearby places of Shivamogga.
First visit to Shankara temple in
the dense forest. The road itself talk
about the beauty of the place. Next
headed towards one more Shankara temple inside the dense forest. Passing through the paddy fields, taking
inner village route reached the place.
By the time it was complete dark.
Explored the place and paid darshana and left to Shivamogga.
Vijay already called to home and informed about our arrival for dinner. Mother served tasty dinner and adieu for the day.

Today also had the same issue,
wanted to leave early and cover maximum places.
Journey started at 8.30 am after having the yummy breakfast. I and Vijay chalked down many surrounding
places which can be covered.
Passing through the dense forest,
reached such a wonderful place. The open
wide area welcomes you with it pristine beauty.
Took our bikes close to water.
Spent a very good time on photography and relaxed sometimes. We had limitation of time, even though the place will not allow you to comeback soon.

Next headed towards hill
Ranganath temple. Both the side green
paddy fields are more attractive, reached the temple. We can view the Bhadra river taking round and
round around the field. Vijay explained
about the formation of round of the river.
We were running short of time, by
the time was around 2.30 Noon. Taking inner
route along with canal road reached Shankaraghatta. Found a good hotel and finished the lunch.
Vijay suggested to drop the other
shortlisted places due to lack of timing.
Next destination was Bhadra Dam. Parked
our vehicle at main gate and had a small inside the campus. The poor monsoon made empty in the dam. Had a relax walk across the dam and headed
towards Tarikere Amrutheshwara Temple.
This was my second visit to
Amrutheshwara temple. Beautiful architecture
attracts the travelers. Spent some good
time in photography and decided to start the back journey to Namma Bengaluru.
The weather was getting colder
and colder. Reached the Birur at 6.30pm,
the dark clouds were started to pouring.
Decided to take a small break and had evening snacks at Preethi Canteen.
Well prepared to face the rain
and continued our adventurous journey. The
rain was on its pace and our journey continued. Decided to continue the journey in the rain
and assure take a break for every 50 KMs.
The stops continued Arasikere, KB Cross, Tumakuru Byepass. When we reached Tumakuru it was 10pm;
continued journey in the rain. Reached home
safely at 12.40 midnight. The journey
was challenging on narrow highway road of Bengaluru – Shivamogga.
A special gratitude to Vijay and
family who taken care us for two days. Their love and affection will be always
remembered for us.
